Mr Melamu was vetted and approved by the Non-Bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority on 5 September 2017.
Mr Melamu is a qualified attorney with 11 years experience in various managerial roles in the banking industry in Botswana and more than 20 years experience at General Management and Executive level in the telecommunications industry in Botswana, South Africa, Tanzania, DRC, Lesotho, Benin and currently in Sudan.
He is currently the Chief Operations Officer of MTN IranCell and serves on the Board of MTN Sudan as well as the Ethics Institute.
